First, what is it?
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy involves sitting or lying in a pressurised chamber while breathing in a higher concentration of oxygen than you'd get from normal air. The increased pressure helps your body absorb more oxygen into your bloodstream and tissues.
Do you feel claustrophobic?
This is the question we get most, and the honest answer is: most people don't. PURE's chambers are designed to feel spacious and comfortable, and you're free to read, listen to music, or simply rest throughout the session.
What does a session actually involve?
- You'll change into comfortable clothing and get settled in the chamber with our therapist nearby throughout.
- As the chamber pressurises, you might notice a sensation similar to ascending or descending in a plane — completely normal, and it passes quickly.
- For the remainder of the 60-minute session, you simply relax. Many guests doze off.
- Depressurising at the end is gradual and gentle.
What does it feel like afterwards?
Most guests describe feeling clear-headed and unusually well-rested, with many reporting improved sleep that night. Because the effects tend to build with consistency, we offer Access Passes for up to 30 sessions for guests who want to make it part of a regular routine.
