Three hours to himself
£175 for one person, and a great deal more than the 90 minutes of treatments.
He arrives to a full hour in the spa facilities. Then our Welcome Foot Ritual and a proper chat with his therapist about where he is carrying the tension. Then 90 minutes of hands-on work.
First, 60 minutes in the spa facilities. A pool, an infrared sauna or a relaxation room, depending on the spa he chooses. Free, and his to enjoy before anything else begins.
Then the Welcome Foot Ritual. Warm water, a moment to slow down, and a consultation with the therapist who will look after him.
Then 90 minutes of treatments. A deep tissue massage and an energising facial, finished with aftercare advice he can actually use.
What he gets
Deep tissue massage. Firm, focused work through the back, shoulders and neck — the places that seize up from a desk, a steering wheel or the gym. His therapist sets the pressure with him and adjusts as they go, so it is as strong as he wants and no stronger.
An energising facial. Cleansed, exfoliated and rehydrated, with attention to the areas shaving and weather are hardest on. Most men have never had one. Nearly all of them book another.
He can add time or upgrade on the day if he wants to, and simply pays the difference.
His hour in the spa
Included in the price and taken before his treatments begin. What is on offer depends on where he goes:
- Pool — Witney Lakes and Coventry
- Infrared sauna and relaxation area — Aberdeen Union Square, Edinburgh Lothian Road and Glasgow West Nile Street
Facilities differ at our other spas, so do give them a call if this is the part he will get most out of.
How it works
- Choose how to send it. An e-gift card arrives in your inbox within minutes. Or choose the posted gift pack — a printed invitation and gift card in a champagne envelope, delivered free anywhere in the UK.
- Give it to him. The invitation sets out exactly what he is getting, which matters if he has never been to a spa before.
- He books when it suits. At whichever PURE spa he likes, any time in the next 24 months.
Where he can use it
At any of our nine UK spas: Aberdeen Union Square, Aberdeen Cults, Glasgow West Nile Street, Edinburgh Lothian Road, Edinburgh Rose Street, Edinburgh Airport, Witney Lakes, Coventry and Bristol Park Street. Addresses and opening hours are on our locations page.
Sending it from overseas
Choose the e-gift card. Nothing to post, no customs, and it reaches you in minutes wherever you are. He books at whichever UK spa is nearest to him. Send it straight to his inbox, or to yours if you would rather give it to him yourself.
Questions
How long will he be at the spa?
Close to three hours. His hour in the spa facilities comes first, then the Welcome Foot Ritual and consultation, then 90 minutes of treatments. Because the facilities hour is at the start, it is worth him arriving on time to enjoy all of it.
What treatments are included?
A deep tissue massage and an energising facial, 90 minutes of treatment time in total. The massage works through the back, shoulders and neck at a pressure he sets with his therapist. The facial cleanses, exfoliates and rehydrates, with attention to the areas shaving is hardest on.
What spa facilities are included?
A full 60 minutes, at no extra cost, before his treatments begin. Witney Lakes and Coventry have a pool. Aberdeen Union Square, Edinburgh Lothian Road and Glasgow West Nile Street have an infrared sauna and relaxation area. Facilities differ at our other spas, so a quick call before booking is worthwhile.
What does the £175 cover?
One person for the whole visit: an hour in the spa facilities, the Welcome Foot Ritual and consultation, and 90 minutes of treatments. There is nothing further to pay unless he decides to add time or upgrade on the day. The gift card stays valid for 24 months from purchase.
Is a deep tissue massage going to be too much?
He sets the pressure, not the therapist. They will check in as they work and ease off or go deeper as he prefers. Deep tissue means focused and firm rather than uncomfortable, and it can be dialled right back if he would rather something gentler on the day.
What if he has never been to a spa before?
Plenty of our male clients start here. The invitation explains what to expect, the therapist talks him through everything at the consultation, and there is nothing he needs to bring or know in advance. He can arrive, be shown round, and enjoy it.
Do I need to choose the spa for him?
No. The gift works at any of our nine UK spas, so he picks whichever is easiest for him. If you already know which one he would go to you can always tell him, but nothing on the card ties him to one location.
How quickly will it arrive?
E-gift cards reach your inbox within minutes of ordering, so they work for a birthday tomorrow. The posted gift pack is sent free anywhere in the UK and usually arrives within a few working days.
How does he book?
Online or by calling his chosen spa directly, quoting the gift card number. He picks the date and time that suit him, and the spa will tell him when to arrive so he gets his full hour in the facilities first.
Can I buy this from outside the UK?
Yes. Choose the e-gift card and it reaches you in minutes wherever you are, with nothing to post and no customs to think about. He then books at whichever UK spa is nearest to him.
What if he would rather have something else?
The full value can go towards any treatment or package we offer. If he chooses something dearer he simply pays the difference on the day. Browse the range on our spa gift cards page.
Good to know
We no longer provide robes and slippers with our treatments and packages, as part of our sustainability commitment — he is very welcome to bring his own, along with a towel and swim shorts if he is planning on the pool or sauna. More in our service terms.
