The science — and why the results last
Laser hair removal works by sending a precise beam of light into the skin, where it's absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair follicle. That light energy converts to heat, which disables the follicle's ability to produce new hair — while the built-in cooling protects the surrounding skin.
