We Tried Every Wellness Therapy at PURE So You Don't Have To

We know PURE has a lot of wellness therapies on the menu. So we did the obvious thing: we tried all of them, back to back, in one week, so you can decide which ones deserve a spot in your own routine.
Monday: Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)
We won't lie — climbing into a pressurised chamber sounds more sci-fi than spa day. The science: increased air pressure allows your blood plasma to carry more dissolved oxygen than usual, reaching tissue that red blood cells alone sometimes struggle to access. In reality, it's more like a very calm hour of reading or napping while that happens. The verdict: genuinely one of the most relaxing 60 minutes we've had, and we noticed better sleep that night.
Tuesday: Infrared Sauna
Unlike a traditional sauna, infrared heat penetrates tissue directly rather than just heating the surrounding air, working from the inside out at a lower, more comfortable temperature. 30 minutes in, we were properly glowing (in a good way) and left feeling loose through the shoulders and lower back.

Wednesday: Cold Water Therapy
The one we were most nervous about. Cold exposure triggers a surge of noradrenaline and vasoconstriction as blood is redirected to your core — and after (much) hesitation at the edge, we understood why that translates to real, physiological alertness. The post-plunge clarity and energy boost lasted the whole afternoon.

Thursday: Reflexology
A foot massage that claims to work on your whole body sounds like a stretch until you're actually in the chair. To be transparent, the specific organ-mapping theory behind reflexology isn't strongly evidenced — but the parasympathetic, stress-lowering effect of sustained pressure and touch is well documented. What we can verify is that 45 minutes of expert pressure on tired feet is one of the most underrated treatments on the menu.
Friday: Compression Boots + BackHug Robotic Massage
We finished the week combining two of PURE's newer technology-led treatments: compression boots, which use rhythmic pressure to support circulation and lymphatic drainage in the legs, and the BackHug robotic massage bed, which combines heat and mechanical pressure to release tension along the back. It felt like ending the working week with a system reset.

So, which one should you try first?
If you're new to wellness therapies, start with infrared sauna or reflexology — both are gentle, accessible entry points. If you're already a spa regular, HBOT and cold water therapy offer the biggest step-change in how you feel afterward.
