The Science Bit

Red Light Therapy (RLT) works by delivering wavelengths of light in the red and near-infrared spectrum, typically between 630 and 850 nanometers, directly into the skin and tissues. These wavelengths penetrate deep into cells, stimulating the mitochondria, which are often referred to as the "powerhouses" of cells. The mitochondria absorb this light energy, which in turn boosts the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the energy currency of the cell. This increased cellular energy accelerates various biological processes, promoting healing, regeneration, and recovery.

While our Red Light Pads are safe and non-invasive, they are not recommended for pregnant women, babies, or small children. If you have a specific health condition, we advise consulting with your doctor before using the Prism Light Pad.
